Liveshot:
This liveshot describes Penn State's Beaver Stadium Recycling Program. As part of the program, student organizations go around on home game days and hand out blue recycling bags to tailgaters around the stadium. Once the game is finished, students collect the bags for the items to be taken for recycling. This liveshot was filmed during the Penn State vs. Kent State football game in 2013. I reported, produced, and edited this piece.
Hard News Package:
This hard news package is about 3D printing technology. It describes some of the pros and cons of the technology, and where it might be heading in the future. I reported, produced and edited this piece.
Nat Sot Package:
This is a natural sound story about the Birds of Prey shows held by Shavers Creek, an environmental center located in Petersburg, Pennsylvania. I spoke with some of the people that attended the program along with the volunteer running it on that day. I produced and edited this story.
Public Affairs Package:
This public affairs story discusses the use of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in food products today. It focuses on some of the long term effects an extensive use of GMOs could have in the future. I spoke with a professor at Penn State University and a registered dietician for this piece. I worked as a one-man band in covering this story and reported, produced, and edited it.
